Bride's Cake

Ok, so we've done cake tasting with three places so far and I think we have it figured out. We're thinking about making the big cake a really light blue and then having some white/silver ribbon on it. There will also be snowflakes all over and edible glitter and rhinestones. It will probably be a white cake with some sort of raspberry filling.

Here's a picture I made in photoshop of the general idea we're thinking of for the main cake.

Haha, I know that picture kinda sucks, but my photoshop skills are kinda sucky too. Instead of the white puffs we would have the pearl beading. I'm not sure yet how many snowflakes we would end up having (don't know how much extra that would cost) so it could change to lots of little snowflakes or just a few large ones. We'll have to discuss it with whoever we go with.  I'm also not sure about the ribbon color/style. Tyler isn't a huge fan of the ribbon, but I really like it. Looks like we'll have to discuss this some more.

Below are just some more of my inspirations. The first and second ones are probably more how the snowflakes will be.

Cake Topper

Tyler wanted me to make a snow bride and groom, so that's what I did. You can check out my DIY page for more pics,  but here is the finished product.

Groom's Cake

He's getting a carrot cake for his cake, but I don't know what design he'll pick. I'm guessing something to do with Duke, Starcraft, or both.

Cake Knife and Server

I just found this set at Walmart for $10.  The ones I bought don't have the bow, which I like better anyway. I'm gonna decorate it a little bit myself, but I figured $10 was pretty good for something no one will really look at, and I think this set is actually pretty anyway.
