Planning Bio

We're using Music Connection as our DJ. We had originally been thinking about hiring musicians to do the ceremony, but all of the prices I found were a lot more than we were wanting to pay. I talked with Jesse at the Music Connection and he said they have experience playing at my venue (a huge plus since it's not your typical indoor ceremony - need to cover that sound of the waterfall!), so with that plus the many recommendations from other knotties and his awesome personality, I was sold. We're getting him for 5.5 hours for $650 (extra charge to lug out a battery operated PA system to the waterfall).

I think this is going to be one of the toughest parts of the wedding, haha. While Tyler and I have some music that we both like, it's not really the best for playing at a wedding. Most of it is indie, which most people won't know and isn't the best for getting crowds going. Tyler is definitely more into music than I am, so I think I might make this his responsibility. Having said that, I do have some ideas for songs I like and will try to have played at some point.

I was just informed that Tyler does not want to use any of the big popular songs for the wedding because he wants to make everything special for us. Sweet, but slightly annoying. I had pumped myself up to walking in to Canon in D, which is now not an option. So I'm back to square one looking for some songs that will be approved by the oh so picky Mr. W.
