Flowers

We sent in the deposit in March for Eden's Echo. She does fabulous work for an excellent price.

Here is how she described what the flowers will be like:

Bride: Ivory hydrangea, roses, and lisianthus with blue delphinium hand tied with ivory ribbon.
Maids:  Blue hydrangea with ivory roses.
Boutonnieres:  Rose with greenery and seasonal accent with decorative wire detail.
Corsages:  Ivory spray roses, with blue delphinium, greenery, and seasonal accent with decorative wire detail.

I can't wait to see the finished products! We're also planning on getting double use of the flowers by putting them in vases on the sweetheart table.

UPDATE: I decided to change my MOH's bouquet rather than change her dress color, so she will now have some delphinium added in to hers. And because Erin is so amazing, she's throwing it in at no extra cost. She's the best!

Bridal Bouquet

I ended up opting to make my own bouquet for my bridal portraits with silk flowers from Hobby Lobby. I didn't really want the extra expense of real flowers, and I'm planning on using the fake flower bouquet as my toss bouquet so I can keep my real one. I'm very sentimental and a little pack rat and I just hate the thought of giving away my real wedding bouquet. I'll figure out some way to preserve it.

Anyway, here is how the fake one turned out. We just bought blue hydrangea (they were the true touch flowers, which are sooo amazing), white roses, delphinium, and some baby's breath. I wrapped it with floral tape first and then put on a layer of white and navy ribbon (only have pics right now from before I wrapped it). I think it turned out well! I'll have to see how it shows up in the pictures, but I think it will be ok.

Inspirations

Here are some of my inspirations (or at least just ones that I love!):

This first one is how it sounds like my bouquet will turn out, except there will also be white hydrangeas and white lisianthus. I think I'm going to use white ribbon around the stems too.
I'm pretty sure the one below is going to be how the BM's bouquets turn out, except probably a little smaller.

Something extra

Sadly, both of my mom's parents passed away a couple years ago. They were very important to us, so I have decided to honor their wonderful memory and marriage by tying their wedding rings to my bouquet. It will help us remember what true love really is.
